Complete with gum and initials carved in the wood arm rests. These "end pieces" were taken out of the Blackall Cinema in Central Western Queensland which was built in 1956 out of an American World War II aircraft hanger. Prior to service in Blackall the "end pieces" were supposedly purchased from a cinema in Sydney so I would guess they are from the 1920s/30s. The initials SC with a big W are part of the artwork on the side??? I refer to them as "end pieces" because they were the decorative end of each row. Postage within Australia is $15 to $25AUD depending on where you live. They are heavy 16.8kg for 2 !!! I turned a couple into garden benches. I also think these are interesting enough to hang on a wall. |
